The book presents the statements of Leo Tolstoy on the just and the unjust life of the modern world order and justice, of faith and self-improvement as the ultimate goal of human life. Parallel to the artistic work of the great Russian writer, worked throughout his life on the correction of human manners through self evaluation, direct political statements and, finally, preaching. His doctrine, on the one hand, was a stage in the development of world moral and philosophical thought, on the other hand, has led the writer to the gradual abandonment of artistic creativity and personal drama that led to his departure from Yasnaya Polyana.
The book is illustrated with the author's collages Victoria Babenko.
